ADTA Bargaining Communiqué – Session 7

Greetings Members,

Session 7:

Your Bargaining Team met on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at District Offices. Those present for ADTA were Asacia Lopez, Michelle Waldon, Mark Heitkamp, Angelique Jolly, Matthew Schneider, and CTA representative Brian Todd. Those present for AESD were Craig Shiflett, Kathy Youskievicz, Julie Gonzales, Alex Verduzco, Zack Klemesh, Melanie Olson Zavala, and Dana Curtis.

Today was not what we were hoping for. The district has once again NOT offered us what we deserve for salary, health and welfare. AESD proposed an initial offer of 0% on schedule, 1% off schedule, and status quo for Health and Welfare. The team made it very clear that this proposal is essentially a pay cut and will not be entertained.

ADTA presented a counter offer that demands what we are worth.

The teams will be meeting on May 14th to have a budget workshop to go over budget items line by line.

The next bargaining session will be held on May 21st.

There will be an informational meeting to answer member questions on Zoom Wednesday April 30th. Keep an eye on your email for the link.

ADTA will also be making immediate moves to begin organizing. Please check your emails and keep an ear out for site rep announcements regarding organizing events. Plan on attending the next board meeting on May 6th to show we are prepared to fight for what our members deserve.
