Mediation has ended without progress, and bargaining will resume on October 1st. In the meantime…

Jennifer Rader (ADTA): An educator, she spoke about the teachers and staff being without a contract for 15 months and the financial struggles they face.

Diane Lynn (CSEA): Representing classified staff, she expressed solidarity with the ADTA union and highlighted the financial struggles of classified employees.

Mr. Adam Lechner from H.Y.A. presented a Signature School Board Leadership Program, which focuses on team dynamics and accountability through workshops and advising. The program's cost is $50,000, with travel expenses separate.

Dolores Williams [37:05], Regina Bell [40:29], Joshua Johnson and other students/parents [43:50], and multiple parents [01:00:13] spoke in support of the Millionaire Mind Kids program, highlighting its positive impact on students' skills, confidence, and academic performance, urging the board to renew the contract.

Trustee Soto: Initiated the discussion by framing the reorganization as a "reset" for the board, citing growing division. He mentioned a previous offer for a voluntary transition for the president and emphasized the need to focus on students and staff

Jennifer Rader (ADTA Representative): Thanked the board for the "Schools to Watch" trip and advocated for increasing the health and welfare cap for educators and support staff.

CTA is seeking engaging presentations from educators for our upcoming CTA Conferences. The conference planning committees will review and approve presenter applications and are seeking sessions that include practical, hands-on solutions as well as timely, researched-based presentations.

Angelique Jolly (representing ADTA) praised the district's financial stewardship but raised concerns about neighboring districts offering 100% paid health premiums and higher salaries, which could hinder Adelanto's ability to retain and attract staff.

Diane Lynn from CSEA [01:33:35] highlighted the impact of the rising cost of living on classified staff, urging the board to consider raising the cap for classified staff during upcoming negotiations.
