About the 6/10/25 AESD Board Meeting

Dear ADTA Members,

We are at a critical point.

The next Board of Trustees meeting is June 10, and another is scheduled for August 12. These meetings are more than just calendar dates—they are opportunities to make our voices heard and our presence felt. But showing up with a handful of people and hoping for change has never worked—and it won’t now.

We cannot continue to operate with a single person carrying the weight of organizing. We need a TEAM. A team that shows up, speaks out, and pushes back. Because the hard truth is this: unless we, as a united body, stand up and demand better, we will continue to get nothing.

We’ve seen the pattern: lack of movement, dismissive responses, and a clear message that they’ll do as little as possible—unless we force the issue. And that force comes from collective power, not silence.

This is a call to action. We are asking for:

• Members to step up and join the Organizing Committee

• Presence at the June 10 board meeting (and to plan ahead for August 12)

• Voices—whether it’s giving public comment, holding signs, or standing in solidarity

Let’s stop waiting for things to get better. Let’s be the reason they do.
